Data Center Security Manager – Non‑Traditional Environments (EMEA)

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a highly motivated Security Manager to lead physical security for its Non‑Traditional Environment (NTE) data centers across the EMEA region. Based in Lisbon, you will oversee multiple sites, ensuring the safety of assets, customers, and employees while maintaining compliance with global security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on‑site operational physical security for all NTE data centers in the EMEA area.
• Investigate incidents, produce detailed reports, and make rapid decisions to mitigate risks.
• Oversee access‑control systems, guard forces, CCTV monitoring, and media security.
• Report security metrics, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with SOC 1, SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Implement new security processes and enforce Amazon policies related to guarding, data protection, and vendor performance.
• Coordinate security services, site surveys, risk and threat assessments, and collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Supervise employees and contractors, monitor vendor performance, and travel as required to support regional sites.

Required profile

• Strong background in physical security management for data‑center environments.
• Excellent people‑management and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to analyze situations quickly and make decisive actions.
• Willingness to travel across the EMEA region and work with global peers.
