Cybersecurity Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Palmela, Portugal. In this permanent position you will protect our digital infrastructure and sensitive data against evolving cyber threats while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain cybersecurity strategies and frameworks aligned with ISO 27001, NIST and other best practices.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Monitor security incidents, respond to threats promptly, and perform post‑incident investigations.
• Manage and configure security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems and SIEM platforms.
• Develop, enforce and audit security policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to embed security best practices into system design and deployment.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats, attack vectors and security trends.
• Provide security awareness training and document incidents for audit purposes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cybersecurity roles with a focus on threat analysis and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of network security, infrastructure protection and encryption protocols.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI‑DSS.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
