Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join the security team of a leading Portuguese banking institution. You will work on protecting critical systems, networks and data while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to embed security by design.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cyber security investigations on network and application activity.
• Manage modern antivirus and anti‑malware solutions, including automation.
• Define and implement security controls aligned with architectural guidelines and internal policies.
• Assess technical risks and propose protection measures to mitigate vulnerabilities.

Required profile

• Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar security roles.
• Hands‑on experience with SOAR and SIEM technologies and their implementation methodologies.
• Knowledge of automation tools is a plus.
• Strong sense of responsibility, commitment and clear communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
