Customer Success Manager – SMB (German speaking)

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Success Manager focused on Small‑and‑Medium Business (SMB) customers who can speak German. In this role you will own a portfolio of high‑value SMB accounts, helping them unlock the full value of Pleo’s spend management platform, improve adoption, and reduce churn.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of German‑speaking SMB customers, driving health, retention, adoption and engagement.
• Identify at‑risk accounts and implement proactive retention strategies.
• Build strong relationships with both operational and decision‑making stakeholders.
• Guide customers through onboarding, adoption, value realization, renewal and growth phases.
• Collaborate with Support, Onboarding, Product, Sales, RevOps, Marketing and Operations to deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Provide strategic guidance and upsell opportunities based on customer needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Customer Success or account‑management role, preferably in SaaS.
• Fluent German (spoken and written) and strong English communication skills.
• Comfortable managing a mixed portfolio of digital and relationship‑focused engagements.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence internal stakeholders.
