Customer Service – Donor Support Technician (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the role

This position supports the donor experience during the apheresis process, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficient workflow. The role is bilingual (English/Spanish) and works directly with donors, equipment, and documentation in a clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the donor area, equipment, and autopheresis machine for each procedure.
• Monitor donors and the apheresis process, responding to alarms and signals.
• Disconnect donors at the end of the process and observe for any adverse reactions.
• Record incidents, machine alerts, volume variances, and donor events using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA).
• Link equipment and soft goods to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert supervisors of donor flow issues and ensure accurate data entry in the electronic donor information system.
• Maintain a clean, well‑stocked work environment and follow all HSE and OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three months of experience in a medical or health‑provider setting, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills may be required based on business needs.

Required skills

• Operation of an autopheresis machine.
• Use of a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) for data capture.
• Basic math calculation ability.
