Cook IV – Full‑time Kitchen Position

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook IV to join our kitchen team at a prestigious hotel in Sintra. This full‑time position involves preparing high‑quality dishes while adhering to our strict culinary standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness and adjust cooking as needed.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen environment.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures, and follow all safety and hygiene policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Commitment to follow company policies, safety procedures and maintain professional appearance.

Required skills

• Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Measuring, mixing and portioning ingredients.
