Construction Engineer III – Mechanical & Piping

About the role

Support construction efforts by providing technical support to craft and supervision while ensuring quality requirements are met. Initiate action when necessary to guarantee the project is built as specified in the scope of work.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and apply standard construction engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using solid engineering judgment.
• Supervise or coordinate the work of engineers, technicians, and other personnel on specific assignments.
• Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with construction‑related issues identified on drawings.
• Coordinate completion of construction activities in assigned systems and prepare punch lists to ensure readiness for client turnover or start‑up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Accredited four‑year engineering degree (or global equivalent) and six years of relevant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Technical knowledge necessary to complete the job and ability to learn and apply applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a time‑conscious, time‑effective manner.

Required skills

• Basic or intermediate proficiency with word processing software.
• Basic or intermediate proficiency with email communication tools.
• Basic or intermediate proficiency with spreadsheet applications.
