Communications Lead – Global Operations

About the role

As the Communications Lead for Global Operations, you will shape and deliver the narrative that connects Grünenthal’s manufacturing, supply‑chain and related functions worldwide. You will work closely with senior leaders to translate business strategy into compelling communication that drives alignment and engagement across regions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and steer the overall communication strategy for Global Operations, turning transformation initiatives into clear, compelling stories.
• Ensure consistent, strategic messaging across functions, regions and leadership levels to drive alignment.
• Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to the Head of Global Operations and the leadership team.
• Coach senior leaders and mentor communication teams to raise communication capability globally.
• Identify and leverage internal and external channels such as town halls, videos, roadshows, intranet, social media, website, events and annual reports.
• Collaborate with the Global Communications team on cross‑functional initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior communications role, advising senior stakeholders.
• University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience in agency or in‑house communication environments.
• Proven ability to influence across hierarchy levels and work closely with senior executives.
• Strong understanding of operational and manufacturing environments.
• Native or near‑native English proficiency and fluency in Spanish.
• Willingness to work in Aachen at least twice a month and travel occasionally (e.g., Italy, Portugal, Latin America).
