Commercial Finance Controller

About the role

The Commercial Finance Controller partners with Visteon's European Commercial team to manage all financial aspects of an assigned business unit. The role develops financial business cases, collaborates with cross‑functional teams, and ensures accurate program financials throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance activities for the business unit and act as a strategic partner to the Commercial Lead.
• Support and maintain program financials from acquisition through Start of Production (SOP).
• Monitor program financial performance, challenge assumptions, and identify profitability improvement opportunities.
• Develop strategic business cases and financial roadmaps to enhance returns.
• Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to senior management.
• Support customer negotiations, pricing strategy, and long‑term agreements.
• Optimize commercial margins and analyze sales and margin performance.
• Ensure SOX compliance and proper handling of Long Term Agreements.
• Track customer vehicle volumes, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
• Provide financial support in program reviews and meetings.

Required profile

• Experience in finance within the automotive or commercial transportation sector.
• Proven ability to develop robust financial business cases and roadmaps.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Familiarity with SOX controls and revenue recognition guidelines.
• Capability to collaborate with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and program management teams.
