Client Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Client Accounting Specialist acts as the primary financial liaison for TLS’s prospective and existing U.S.-based clients. In this client‑facing position you will prepare and review client‑oriented financial reports, manage the full procurement accounting cycle, and advise clients on budget health and spend forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the principal point of contact for client billing inquiries and financial documentation.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end procurement cycle, including three‑way matching, vendor payment processing, and accounts payable prioritisation.
• Maintain organized financial records, support month‑end closing, and prepare monthly financial statements and reconciliations.
• Develop and distribute financial reporting packages for quarterly review meetings with clients and internal procurement teams.
• Onboard and train new clients on TLS accounting timelines, processes, and procedures.
• Alert management to any non‑compliance issues or operational changes that could affect client revenue.
• Bill and collect professional fees, including design‑phase fees, and ensure accurate budgeting.

Required profile

• Experience in client‑facing accounting or finance roles.
• Understanding of U.S. (and Puerto Rico) business operations and financial practices.
• Ability to communicate complex financial data in clear, concise language.
• Proactive approach to identifying and reporting compliance risks.
