Civils Foreman – Hyperscale Data Centre Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civils Foreman to lead civil and structural works on a hyperscale data centre campus in Lisbon. You will be responsible for ensuring high‑quality delivery, safety, and programme adherence on this mission‑critical infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all civils and structural activities, including earthworks, foundations, piling, ground beams, reinforced‑concrete frames, drainage, and external hard‑standing.
• Manage site operatives, gangs, and subcontractor teams to meet daily productivity targets and programme milestones.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks, enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Monitor work quality against project specifications, ITPs, and relevant standards.
• Collaborate with the Site Manager, Project Manager, engineers, and other foremen to resolve interface issues.
• Maintain accurate daily records of labour, plant utilisation, material deliveries, and progress.
• Identify and escalate risks, delays, or variations promptly.
• Ensure safe operation of plant and equipment and verify operator competency.

Required profile

• 5–10+ years of experience as a Civils Foreman or Senior Supervisor on large‑scale construction projects (data centre, industrial, commercial).
• Strong background in concrete works, reinforced‑concrete frames, foundations, drainage, and external works.
• Proven ability to lead teams of 20+ operatives and manage multiple subcontractor packages.
• SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health‑and‑safety certification.
• Valid CSCS card or European equivalent.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese or other European languages are a plus.
