Certified Accountant – Palhaça (Aveiro)

About the role

We are seeking a certified accountant to join our finance team in Palhaça, Aveiro. The successful candidate will be responsible for end‑to‑end accounting, tax compliance and financial reporting for a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly and annual accounting closings.
• Prepare and validate financial statements and SAFT files.
• Ensure full compliance with Portuguese tax obligations (VAT, IRS, IRC, IES, DMR, Modelo 22).
• Monitor legislative updates and attend relevant training.
• Prepare tax returns and support internal and external audits.
• Maintain organized documentation and internal controls.
• Produce financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, social security and other entities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Mandatory OCC registration.
• Minimum three years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of SNC and Portuguese tax legislation.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Central Gest or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
