Cargo Handler – Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Cargo Handler will work in the Miami Warehouse supporting the full lifecycle of freight – from acceptance through build‑up, tie‑down, scanning, breakdown and flight preparation for both export and import shipments. The role ensures timely, safe, and accurate handling of cargo while maintaining a clean and organized facility.

Key responsibilities

• Move freight from acceptance to build‑up or breakdown and prepare it for departure.
• Perform cargo acceptance, scanning, tie‑down, staging and breakdown according to SOPs.
• Inspect nets, report discrepancies, and conduct physical inventories after scanning.
• Maintain serviceability of equipment such as forklifts, scales, scanners and tablets.
• Operate warehouse management systems (SMART CARGO, ACMS, GENEVA, Lodige) for daily tasks.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety procedures.
• Support the Cargo Handler Lead and Warehouse Duty Supervisor as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of related warehouse or cargo handling experience.
• Open availability to work flexible shifts.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (certification preferred).
• Proficiency with warehouse equipment: scales, scanners, tablets.
• Experience using cargo management software (SMART CARGO, ACMS, GENEVA, Lodige).
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.
