Business Development Manager

About the role

BASEYARD is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to grow its customer pipeline and secure new contracts across European and international defence, dual‑use, robotics and advanced‑technology markets. The role is full‑time and focuses on converting technology companies’ industrialisation and manufacturing needs into long‑term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and secure new customers across defence, dual‑use, robotics, unmanned systems, electronics and advanced technology markets.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified B2B and B2G opportunities.
• Develop relationships with founders, executives, procurement teams, programme managers, OEMs and system integrators.
• Identify companies that need industrialisation, contract manufacturing, assembly, integration, testing, supply‑chain or serial‑production services.
• Own the full business‑development lifecycle from lead generation, qualification, proposal creation, negotiation to contract award.
• Collaborate with Engineering, NPI, Operations and Supply Chain to produce technically and commercially viable proposals.
• Prepare and coordinate proposals, quotations, RFIs, RFQs, tenders and commercial documentation.
• Maintain accurate pipeline data, revenue forecasts and probabilities in the CRM system.

Required profile

• Ambitious and commercially driven professional with proven experience in business development or sales.
• Strong understanding of defence, dual‑use, robotics or advanced‑technology product lifecycles.
• Ability to engage with senior decision‑makers and procurement teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Capacity to translate technical requirements into commercial proposals.
