Business Analyst - Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst – Engineering to join the Airbus GBS team in Lisbon or Coimbra. You will support the Engineering function by managing KPI dashboards, monitoring delivery plans, and identifying risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update KPI dashboards for engineering delivery plans, highlighting status, risks, and operational issues.
• Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate data reporting and analysis.
• Manage the subcontracting process, from purchase order creation to goods receipt, and flag potential delays.
• Support workforce management by updating dashboards on staffing, skills, and resource types, working closely with HR.
• Identify business risks and opportunities beyond raw data and communicate them to internal engineering customers.
• Collaborate with business management teams and relevant data owners across engineering domains.

Required profile

• Business management education with a finance focus.
• Aptitude for agile, reliable, and fast data handling.
• Strong adherence to data confidentiality and compliance policies.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive improvement approach.
• Project‑management understanding and structured work style.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in a remote context.
• Fluent English; additional French, German or Spanish is a plus.
• Full mastery of Google Workspace (including scripting) and Microsoft Excel.
• Basic knowledge of aircraft product and development processes is beneficial.
• Commitment to ethics and compliance, including GDPR and Airbus procurement rules.
