Banquet Server

About the role

The Banquet Server will set up, serve, and clear food and beverage for all banquet functions, ensuring service meets Highgate's hotel standards. This onsite position works in a resort‑style environment close to Isla Verde Beach.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare banquet areas according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and hotel standards.
• Set tables, stock the banquet storeroom, and maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
• Serve guests courteously, answer questions about menu items, and handle any complaints or incidents.
• Follow money‑handling procedures when serving guests.
• Clean up after events, restock supplies, and ensure equipment is stored properly.
• Assist with any additional duties requested by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work long or irregular hours.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally and 20 lb frequently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
