Backend Developer – Python/Django

About the role

Join Bosch Service Solutions in Cacia, Aveiro, to design and deliver high‑performance backend systems that power customer‑experience and mobility solutions. You will work with the latest Python and Django technologies in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend services using Python 3.10+ and Django 5+, extending and optimizing database models.
• Develop, maintain, and refactor secure RESTful APIs, migrating existing endpoints to Django REST Framework.
• Architect and automate CI/CD pipelines with Docker Compose and internal cloud/VM infrastructure.
• Create automated vulnerability‑scanning pipelines and integrate secret‑management tools into the build process.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and collaborate with frontend developers on integration testing.
• Monitor and optimise backend performance while ensuring compliance with Bosch’s global software engineering and security standards.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Solid professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Python and relational databases.
• Proven track record building and maintaining production‑grade RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerised environments and cloud hosting platforms.
