Backend Developer – Network Automation (Hybrid, Lisbon)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Developer specialized in network automation to design and deliver scalable backend services and automation workflows. The role is based in Lisbon with a hybrid working model, and you will collaborate closely with frontend teams and network engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend automation solutions using Python, Django, and orchestration tools such as Prefect or Airflow.
• Build and maintain integrations with network source‑of‑truth systems like Nautobot or NetBox.
• Design, implement, and optimise REST APIs and automation pipelines following DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and network engineers, contributing to full‑stack features when required.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Django.
• Knowledge of Prefect or Airflow, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation with Docker.
• Experience working on Linux environments and building REST APIs.
• Familiarity with modern frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Vue.js).
• Understanding of DevOps practices and network automation contexts.
