Backend Developer

About the role

As a Backend Developer at Diconium you will join a global team that creates modern web applications and IoT solutions. You will work with cutting‑edge technologies to build new services from scratch rather than maintaining legacy code.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend APIs using modern stacks such as Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby on Rails, Go, Rust or Node.js.
• Develop serverless functions and micro‑service architectures for cloud‑based and embedded device platforms.
• Collaborate with an agile team of developers, designers and testers to deliver high‑quality features.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, continuous integration and code reviews.
• Explore and apply new concepts, keeping the product innovative and future‑proof.

Required profile

• Solid experience in modern backend web development and API design.
• Team player with a passion for learning and thinking outside the box.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Previous experience with Elixir/Phoenix/Nerves and event‑sourced systems.
