Associate Site Activation Manager – Sponsor Facing

About the role

The Associate Global Site Activation Manager within IQVIA’s GSL team acts as the project manager for the start‑up phase of clinical trials, overseeing the design and implementation of site activation strategies from award through to enrollment. Working remotely, the role leads country operations teams to ensure client commitments are met on time, within scope and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in pre‑award and defense meetings, providing start‑up expertise for project strategy.
• Develop site activation delivery strategies, outlining activation projections, site identification, regulatory, contract and start‑up timelines across multiple countries.
• Oversee execution of the global site activation plan, ensuring sites are delivered on agreed timelines, budgets and scope while proactively managing risks.
• Communicate regularly with clients, project managers, clinical leads, regulatory specialists and other stakeholders on site status, risks and opportunities.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external sponsors to secure successful activation outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field.
• 5–7 years of global experience in a clinical research environment.
• Strong leadership competencies to guide multicultural project teams.
• Proven ability to own projects, control delivery timelines, scope and budgets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
