AmeriCorps VISTA – Community Infrastructure Development

About the role

The AmeriCorps VISTA member will support the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón project by building sustainable workforce readiness and community infrastructure systems for low‑income residents of Santurce and nearby areas. Working from the Neeuko Innovation Center, the member will create educational resources, partnership frameworks, and evaluation tools that expand economic opportunity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct workforce and community needs assessments.
• Develop adult education materials, job‑readiness curricula, and resource guides.
• Create partnership databases, outreach resources, and tracking/evaluation systems.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings with employers, schools, and community organizations.
• Support implementation of workforce training and adult‑education initiatives.
• Produce sustainability and knowledge‑management resources.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to community development and poverty reduction.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners.
• Experience in education, workforce development, or nonprofit settings is preferred.
