Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

Airbus Global Business Services (AGBS) in Portugal is looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to support its finance operations. You will work in a multicultural environment, handling invoice processing, corporate travel support and vendor relations while contributing to the company’s sustainable aerospace mission.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and process invoices, ensuring accuracy of items, prices and purchase orders, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Investigate and resolve exception invoices and discrepancies, maintaining vendor statements.
• Support the corporate travel program by reviewing expense reports, managing travel‑card inquiries and acting as subject‑matter expert for the travel tool.
• Provide internal and external customer service, acting as liaison between departments and vendors.
• Comply with finance, purchasing and supply‑chain policies and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Junior accountant or recent graduate with a Finance/Accounting degree.
• Ability to handle a high volume of data entry and process at least 80 invoices daily with 98 % accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and time‑management skills.
• Professional, service‑oriented attitude and effective communication in English (intermediate level).
• Willingness to work with all organizational levels and collaborate across functions.
