Accounting & Tax Assistant (Lisbon)

About the role

TMF Group is seeking an Accounting & Tax Assistant to join its Lisbon team. You will support an international client portfolio, working closely with Accounting & Tax Officers and Account Managers in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Register all entries in the accounting process and calculate relevant accounting entries.
• Prepare import files for upload into the ERP system.
• Maintain control sheets for entry calculations.
• Prepare transfer orders or coordinate with Back‑Office to initiate transfers.
• Support statutory reporting and audit assistance.
• Prepare first drafts of invoices and manage physical and virtual client files.
• Send basic electronic correspondence (invoices, bank statements, etc.) to clients.
• Participate in populating department control sheets.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• No professional experience required (experience considered a plus).
• Advanced English (spoken and written) with excellent written communication.
• Strong team‑playing attitude, quick learning, and adaptability to a high‑multitasking environment.
• Excellent organization and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the MS Office package.
