Accounting & Tax Assistant (Entry Level)

About the role

TMF Group is looking for an enthusiastic Accounting & Tax Assistant to join its growing team in Portugal. You will support a portfolio of international clients, working closely with senior Accounting & Tax Officers and Account Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Register all entries in the accounting process and calculate relevant accounting entries.
• Prepare import files for ERP upload and maintain control sheets for entry calculations.
• Assist with tax compliance tasks, including preparing transfer orders and coordinating with Back‑Office.
• Support statutory reporting, audit assistance, and invoice drafting.
• Manage physical and virtual files according to agreed standards and send basic electronic correspondence to clients.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• No professional experience required (experience considered a plus).
• Advanced spoken and written English.
• Strong written communication and team‑working abilities.
• Quick learner, adaptable to a high‑multitasking environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office package.
