Accounting Specialist – Boutique Hotel

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join the finance team of Quinta da Comporta Wellness Boutique Hotel. The role supports daily accounting operations, ensures accurate financial records, and assists the Certified Accountant with month‑end closing and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, classify and record accounting documents.
• Perform bank reconciliations and regularise accounts.
• Assist with monthly closing procedures, adhering to deadlines.
• Prepare mandatory reports and declarations such as COPE and GEDIPE.
• Manage customer and supplier accounts, monitoring payments and collections.
• Review accounts, identify discrepancies and ensure resolution.
• Maintain filing and organisation of accounting and administrative documentation.
• Provide administrative support to the finance department and the Certified Accountant.

Required profile

• Academic or professional qualification in Accounting, Management or a related field.
• Professional experience in accounting functions, preferably in hospitality.
• Experience with organising, classifying and recording accounting documents.
• Knowledge of bank reconciliations, customer/supplier accounts and month‑end closing.
