Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team at our Porto facility. You will support day‑to‑day financial operations, contribute to month‑end and year‑end closings, and help maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card accounts.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records and general ledger entries.
• Support the financial close process and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Organise and maintain financial documentation in line with best practices.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes, providing required documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments on financial matters and reporting needs.
• Support implementation, optimisation, and maintenance of accounting systems and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• More than 5 years of experience in accounting or a related financial role.
• Experience in multinational environments and knowledge of Portuguese tax requirements are a plus.
• Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS and financial reporting requirements is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information, and excellent organisational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
