Speaker Producer - Mandarin

About the role

Web Summit is looking for a native Mandarin speaker to help attract and secure top Chinese tech leaders, creators and thinkers for its global conferences. You will be the bridge between these speakers and the event team, ensuring compelling pitches and smooth logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep‑dive research on potential speakers, their recent announcements and business needs.
• Craft and deliver high‑level outreach pitches, maintaining momentum in long‑running discussions.
• Contribute to session concepts, titles and narrative angles.
• Manage speaker data, track confirmation statuses and coordinate complex scheduling.
• Prepare detailed briefing materials for VIP meetings and ensure speakers’ goals align with Web Summit.
• Travel within China and attend standard event travel as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fast‑paced environments such as PR, talent agencies, journalism, events, TV, radio or high‑end hospitality.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication in both English and native‑level Mandarin.
• Strong understanding of China’s technology and business ecosystem.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
• High social intelligence and a professional, persuasive demeanor.

Required skills

• Fluency with China‑specific research and outreach platforms: WeChat, Weibo, Douyin and Zhihu.
