Solution Architect – Omni Retail

About the role

We are looking for a senior Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of omni‑channel retail solutions for our clients in Lisbon. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that the architecture aligns with enterprise standards and supports high‑volume retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface between business owners and technical delivery teams for retail solution architecture.
• Lead the architectural design of digital omni‑retail solutions, defining target architectures, integration flows and high‑level designs.
• Provide architectural governance, guiding principles and reusable patterns across global transformation programmes.
• Support build‑vs‑buy decisions, vendor assessments and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps aligned with business capabilities and digital transformation goals.
• Review and validate delivery‑team solutions for scalability, security, performance and maintainability.
• Participate in cut‑over planning, system migration strategies and infrastructure setup when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in solution architecture, large‑scale digital transformation and retail systems.
• Proven track record designing highly scalable, performant and resilient omni‑retail solutions.
• Strong understanding of retail business processes and peak‑period transaction volumes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages such as French, Italian or Chinese are a plus.

• Security, Identity Management/SSO and compliance for global deployments.
• TOGAF or equivalent certification (preferred).
