Software Engineer II

About the role

Iterable is seeking a Software Engineer II to join its engineering team. In this role you will work on building and enhancing scalable web applications that power the company’s AI‑driven customer engagement platform used by hundreds of brands worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production‑ready features for the core platform.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Write clean, testable code in Scala or Java and contribute to code reviews.
• Investigate and resolve performance or reliability issues, including work with Elasticsearch and Postgres.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimate effort, and track progress with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building scalable web applications in a production environment.
• Ability to work autonomously on well‑defined tasks while seeking guidance for ambiguous problems.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to collaborate across diverse teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Scala and/or Java.
• Hands‑on experience with Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
