Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our client’s team in Lisbon. The role operates in a hybrid model, with two days per week on‑site, and focuses on maintaining and optimizing both cloud and on‑premises infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor and maintain Linux and Windows Server environments across cloud and on‑premises platforms.
• Manage virtualized environments using VMware, Hyper‑V and Proxmox VE.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, performance and service continuity.
• Analyse and troubleshoot systems, network and application issues, providing clear technical communication.
• Perform technical testing, produce accurate documentation and operational reporting.
• Support cloud and on‑premises infrastructure operations and collaborate with technical teams to implement, optimise and standardise solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in systems administration or infrastructure operations.
• Strong experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Solid knowledge of virtualization platforms and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring, system operations and service continuity.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate technical information in English.
• Collaborative, responsible and solution‑oriented working style.
