Senior Software Engineer – Full‑stack Java & React

About the role

Dynamic Yield by Mastercard is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Lisbon team. The role focuses on building full‑stack, real‑time applications that deliver innovative user experiences for the payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define requirements and specifications.
• Design and implement low‑latency, event‑driven, scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js and cloud‑native technologies.
• Develop, containerise and orchestrate services with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Debug complex issues across a micro‑services architecture and ensure high reliability.
• Write clean, modular, maintainable code following best‑practice standards.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously improve the codebase.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience, primarily with Java and JavaScript.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and React.js for end‑to‑end feature development.
• Proven experience designing, developing and testing scalable distributed systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
