Senior Project Controls Manager – Pharmaceutical & Construction

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Controls Manager to lead cost, schedule, and risk management for a pharmaceutical construction project in Carolina, PR. Reporting to the Project or Construction Manager, you will work directly with the client and oversee a dedicated project controls team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor the project controls team, coordinating workload and ensuring expertise in cost and schedule analysis.
• Maintain detailed cost estimates and forecasts across all project phases, from design through start‑up and close‑out.
• Track and analyze budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecasts using Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.
• Develop and maintain issue logs, risk registers, and contingency reserves, providing variance and trend analysis.
• Participate in bid reviews, ensuring cost control requirements are embedded in contracts and purchase orders.
• Create and update integrated project schedules, incorporating engineering and construction contractor timelines.
• Produce cash‑flow projections, monthly cost forecasts, and commercial reports for senior management.
• Drive the risk management process, from identification through mitigation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing project controls on large‑scale pharmaceutical or industrial construction projects.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost, schedule, and risk performance.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with client and internal stakeholders.
