Senior Logistics Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Mace is seeking an experienced logistics leader to oversee the safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of logistics services on a major infrastructure programme. You will manage site logistics operations, coordinate with contractors and suppliers, and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced construction environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead logistics teams and supply‑chain partners to achieve project objectives.
• Manage day‑to‑day logistics operations, including traffic, delivery, waste, site cleaning and plant asset management.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Oversee logistics budgets, monitor costs and ensure financial targets are met.
• Track performance metrics, identify productivity gains and implement best‑practice improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, wellbeing and environmental standards.
• Produce and present operational reports to senior stakeholders.
• Motivate, develop and manage a diverse, multicultural workforce.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in construction, infrastructure or major‑project logistics.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness with responsibility for budgets and cost control.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Problem‑solving and decision‑making competence.

Required skills

• CSCS Black Card (or equivalent).
