Senior Java Developer – Electronic Equities (Lisbon)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer specialized in Electronic Equities to join our Lisbon team. You will work on a client‑reporting application that generates regulatory and monitoring reports for equity markets, handling real‑time data in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real‑time data applications supporting client reporting.
• Ensure reliability, scalability and high performance of the platform.
• Follow agile practices: analysis, documentation, development, testing and peer reviews.
• Implement and maintain robust unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
• Collaborate with production support for release management and issue resolution.
• Provide L3 support and work with business stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Contribute to system enhancements and new features aligned with regulatory reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience with Java 8 or higher.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and testing practices.
• Experience with quality‑assurance processes, including unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
• Familiarity with reporting or business‑intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Maven, Git and Shell scripting.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript and front‑end frameworks such as Angular or React.
