Senior Java Developer – Electronic Equities (Data)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer specialized in Electronic Equities to join our Lisbon team in a hybrid working mode. You will work on a critical client‑reporting application that generates regulatory and monitoring reports for equity markets, handling real‑time data with high performance and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real‑time data applications supporting client‑reporting functionality.
• Ensure reliability, scalability and performance of the platform and its components.
• Follow agile development practices, including analysis, documentation, coding, testing and peer reviews.
• Implement and maintain robust unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing processes.
• Collaborate with production support for release management and issue resolution.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide L3 support when needed.
• Contribute to system enhancements and new feature development aligned with regulatory reporting needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience with strong Java (8+) expertise.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, requirement analysis and testing practices.
• Experience with quality‑assurance approaches, including unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
• Knowledge of reporting or business‑intelligence platforms.
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Maven, Git and Shell scripting.
• Understanding of JavaScript and exposure to front‑end frameworks such as Angular or React.
