Senior Information Security Infrastructure Engineer (Security Architecture)

About the role

Join the InfoSec Security Architecture team at Elastic as a Senior Information Security Infrastructure Engineer, responsible for protecting data and systems through security telemetry ingestion and cluster health.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines for security telemetry (cloud audit logs, identity/SaaS activity, endpoint and asset data) into Elasticsearch.
• Monitor and upgrade Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes clusters, manage capacity, shards, ILM and cross‑cluster search.
• Use Terraform, Kubernetes and Helm to provision cloud infrastructure and scheduled ingest jobs.
• Implement AI‑driven automation, self‑healing jobs, health checks, alerts and CLI tools.
• Ensure data quality, monitor backfills, maintain schema consistency and control costs.

Required profile

• Experience operating Elastic/Elasticsearch in production, including ingest pipelines, index templates and cluster upgrades; preferably with ECK or Elasticsearch on Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes workloads, Helm charts and troubleshooting pods/jobs.
• Hands‑on Terraform for managing cloud and Elasticsearch resources as code.
• Ability to integrate REST APIs (authentication, pagination, rate‑limiting, error handling).
• Python scripting for ingestion and automation tasks.
• Eligibility to work in DoD Impact Level 4+ cloud environments.

• Base salary range €55,800 – €88,000 per year.
