Senior Associate AWS Cloud Network Engineer

About the role

AMGEN is looking for a highly experienced Senior Associate AWS Cloud Network Engineer to join its Cloud Networking team. You will design, implement, operate and continuously improve a large‑scale enterprise AWS network environment that supports critical healthcare applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support AWS network architectures using VPC, Transit Gateway, shared VPC, VPC peering, PrivateLink and Route 53.
• Implement secure, scalable multi‑account and multi‑region networking patterns and maintain cloud‑network standards.
• Design, implement and troubleshoot hybrid connectivity between AWS and on‑premises environments using Direct Connect, Site‑to‑Site VPN, BGP and routing protocols.
• Provide DNS services with Route 53, troubleshoot resolution issues and support VPC endpoints and load‑balancing.
• Integrate networking solutions with enterprise security controls, including firewalls, security groups and NACLs.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement of network resiliency and capacity planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience designing and operating AWS networking in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of IPv4, TCP/IP, subnetting, CIDR, routing and DNS.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hybrid‑cloud connectivity issues and participate in production support.
