Regional Operations Manager

About the role

Flix is seeking a motivated Regional Operations Manager to lead its bus partner network in Portugal. Based in the Lisbon area, you will work closely with bus partners, internal teams, and regional authorities to ensure high‑quality service and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all operational aspects of Flixbus’ relationships with bus partners, including performance monitoring and KPI analysis.
• Develop and maintain long‑lasting partnerships with bus operators and oversee Flix presence in bus stations, especially in the Porto area.
• Ensure compliance with Flixbus procedures, train and support partner drivers, and conduct regular quality inspections.
• Oversee the launch of new lines and continuously improve line operations, focusing on fleet, drivers, and punctuality.
• Participate in cross‑functional operational projects and provide field support for bus stations and ticket shops.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as Line Planning and Business Development to guarantee seamless operations.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of operations experience in transportation or a fast‑paced environment within Portugal and/or Spain.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to negotiate with terminal managers, drivers, supervisors, and regional authorities.
• High level of trustworthiness, engagement, resourcefulness, and a hands‑on, independent work style.
• Willingness to travel at least once a month, often overnight, with occasional international trips (max twice a year).
• Native or proficient Portuguese, highly fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
