People Operations Specialist

About the role

Air Apps is looking for a People Operations Specialist to manage HR and recruiting processes, ensuring smooth operations from recruitment to onboarding and employee support. The role is central to maintaining a compliant, people‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily HR tasks such as payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee data management.
• Clarify HR policies and respond to employee inquiries with empathy and accuracy.
• Maintain and update internal HR documentation, SOPs, and templates.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment activities: job postings, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, and process coordination.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to track progress and keep the hiring pipeline moving.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience from first contact to offer.
• Coordinate onboarding logistics and support new hires’ integration.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in recruiting, preferably in a consultancy or fast‑paced environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, especially Ashby.
• Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms.
• Experience supporting HR operations such as payroll and benefits.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with Portuguese labour law is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Portuguese proficiency is beneficial.
