Part‑time Lecturer – Framing by Design (Lisbon)

About the role

Forward College seeks a part‑time lecturer to teach the "Framing by Design" course in Lisbon. The role involves delivering two small‑group modules (22 teaching hours each) and providing 7.5 hours of tutoring per group, using a flipped‑classroom approach.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver 22 hours of interactive teaching per group.
• Provide 7.5 hours of one‑to‑one tutoring for each cohort.
• Facilitate project‑based learning with a Portugal‑based partner organization.
• Guide students through design research, ethnographic methods, systems thinking and participatory design.
• Assess student work and give constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience in academic teaching innovation.
• Background in ethnographic research and design thinking.
• Fluency in English for instruction.
• Legal right to work in Portugal or the EU (no visa sponsorship).
