Mid-level Java Developer – Hybrid (Lisbon)

About the role

We are seeking a Mid-level Java Developer to join a centre of excellence for a leading multinational fintech company. The role is hybrid, with two days per week in our Lisbon office and three days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java backend services using Spring and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement micro‑services based architectures.
• Work with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, writing SQL queries.
• Utilise JPA and Hibernate for data persistence.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines to deliver reliable releases.

Required profile

• At least one higher‑education degree.
• Minimum 3 years of professional Java backend development experience (Java 8+).
• Strong knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot, RDBMS, JPA/Hibernate, and micro‑services architecture.
• Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher.
