About the role

Expleo is seeking a Mid-Level Java Backend Developer to join its global engineering and technology team. You will work on building robust backend services that support the company’s innovation projects across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based microservices and APIs (REST and GraphQL).
Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms for secure data access.
Develop event‑driven components and integrate messaging systems such as AWS SQS.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of the development process.

Required profile

3–4+ years of professional experience as a Backend or Java Developer.
Strong communication skills in English and ability to work collaboratively.
Attention to detail and problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

Java programming language.
Microservices architecture.
REST APIs and GraphQL.
Authentication and authorization flows.
Event‑driven development and messaging systems.
AWS Cloud services, specifically SQS.
