Mechanical Engineer – AutoCAD (m/f/d)

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer at Körber Supply Chain, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative conveying technology systems for parcel and logistics hubs. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver robust mechanical solutions that meet safety, performance and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering designs for conveying technology, including steelwork such as platforms, crossovers and stairs.
• Analyse layouts, identify faults, and define technical specifications.
• Create and manage mechanical design documentation for customer approval.
• Coordinate building interfaces, addressing space, architectural clashes, accessibility and safety.
• Produce installation documentation and support on‑site installation and commissioning teams.
• Handle site problem reports, manage open points and communicate with both internal and external clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of additional CAD tools such as Inventor, SolidWorks or Revit is a plus.
• Experience in steel structures and layout design.
• Familiarity with mechanical equipment safety standards (e.g., Machinery Directive).
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel locally or internationally up to one month per year.
