Junior Accountant – Shared Accounting Services

About the role

As a Junior Accountant in OutSystems' Global Shared Accounting Services team, you will manage day‑to‑day general ledger activities, ensure balance‑sheet integrity, and support month‑end close for entities across EMEA, APAC and the Americas. Reporting to a Senior/Lead Accountant, you will work in a fast‑paced environment while adhering to local and global accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute journal entries, period‑end accruals, prepaid expenses and cash allocations for multi‑currency entities.
• Perform high‑volume reconciliations of cash, accruals and other current receivables/payables, investigating variances to meet close deadlines.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve ledger mismatches and maintain cut‑off accuracy.
• Prepare audit schedules and provide documented evidence for regional external audits.
• Identify process bottlenecks and contribute to NetSuite optimisation and workflow automation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (progress toward a certification is a plus).
• 1‑3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas).
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable tier‑1 ERP system.
