Full Stack Developer – Frontend Focus (Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with a strong frontend focus to join the Buyers team on a maternity‑leave replacement. The role is based in Lisbon and will be hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while delivering high‑performance checkout experiences for our fintech customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to turn requirements into high‑quality web applications.
• Build and enhance user‑facing features with a frontend‑first mindset, while also contributing to backend code when needed.
• Design, develop, test, deploy and own features end‑to‑end.
• Take part in architecture, code‑review and design discussions to maintain engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot issues across the stack and ensure reliable, scalable solutions.
• Write automated tests and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Continuously improve development processes, tools and best practices.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and production support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably in fintech.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Willingness to work onsite in Lisbon three days per week after an initial remote onboarding period.
