Founding Mobile Engineer

About the role

We are a fast‑growing fintech building P2P and B2C payments, remittances and neo‑banking solutions for Africa, headquartered in Dubai with a new European hub in Porto. As the founding mobile engineer you will create our first consumer‑facing mobile app from the ground up using Flutter.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop a greenfield Flutter application from scratch.
• Make core technical decisions on state management, navigation, modularisation, offline capabilities and performance.
• Deliver the first production release and ship payment features such as proximity payments and SoftPOS.
• Set up mobile CI/CD pipelines, staged roll‑outs, feature flags and monitoring.
• Collaborate with QA to define a comprehensive testing strategy.
• Integrate AI tools into the engineering workflow and product development.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience building Flutter applications at scale.
• Proven track record of architecting and shipping consumer‑facing mobile apps.
• Deep knowledge of Flutter, Dart, state management, performance optimisation and offline‑first development.
• Solid native iOS and Android expertise for platform‑specific functionality.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and secure mobile development.
• At least one year of daily use of AI tools to create automations that save time.
