Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will join Sodexo Business Services in Portugal, supporting financial and operational teams across European markets. The role focuses on commercial decision‑making, contract compliance, and delivering insightful financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support Country Finance/Operational teams in commercial decision‑making, analysing financial and commercial trends to optimise performance.
• Interpret contract requirements, monitor key levers and ensure compliance with commercial and financial terms.
• Maintain reliable financial data on Sodexo’s Client Reporting Platform (PowerBI) in line with contractual obligations.
• Oversee governance and delegation of authority for all spend categories, ensuring proper documentation and swift execution of change‑control processes, including client budget reviews.
• Track full‑year forecast costs by workstream against budget, drive saving initiatives and manage change controls.
• Produce monthly management reports, highlighting spend versus budget, cost‑reduction progress, KPI performance and revenue optimisation opportunities.
• Collaborate with operational colleagues to foster ownership, improve commercial acumen and implement corrective action plans.
