Data Engineer

About the role

SuperAwesome is seeking a Data Engineer to help scale its data products and improve client experiences. You will work across the full data stack—from ETL pipelines to data warehousing, visualisations, testing and cloud infrastructure—collaborating closely with the Tech Lead and product team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain end‑to‑end ETL pipelines and data warehouses.
• Develop data visualisation solutions and ensure reliable data delivery.
• Implement testing, monitoring and cloud infrastructure for data services.
• Document design choices and mentor junior data engineers on best practices.
• Champion DataOps culture, support production systems and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Engage with customers to understand use cases, troubleshoot data issues and manage end‑to‑end setup.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data engineering and building scalable data products.
• Ability to collaborate with technical leads and product managers to define technical approaches.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Experience breaking down complex deliverables into clear user stories.
• Willingness to mentor peers and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
