Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Cyber Security Specialist to join KCS IT in Portugal. The role combines risk assessment, security solution evaluation and advanced data protection techniques in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and document security risks and their business impact.
• Participate in proof‑of‑concepts and technical assessments of security solutions.
• Monitor emerging threats, new technologies and industry best practices.
• Design and implement cryptographic controls, anonymization and data‑masking solutions.
• Prepare and validate security and risk assessment reports.
• Develop and maintain an inventory of cryptographic assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT risk management and cybersecurity.
• Strong English communication skills.
