Cyber Security Operations Engineer

About the role

TLScontact is seeking a Cyber Security Operations Engineer to strengthen its security posture. The role will be based in Portugal and will report to the Cyber Security Operations Manager, working closely with IT teams to protect digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and prioritize remediation.
• Operate, administer and troubleshoot security tools such as anti‑malware, scanning solutions, SIEM, encryption, GPO, web and email proxies, and CASB.
• Ensure all devices feed central log management and asset inventory systems, and conduct daily log reviews.
• Maintain compliance evidence, perform security audits and manage risk assessments.
• Implement endpoint protection policies, harden technology equipment and deliver security awareness training.
• Run the patch and vulnerability management process, evaluate criticality and support deployment.

Required profile

• Based in Portugal or holding a valid work permit for Portugal.
• Proven experience in security operations, incident response and vulnerability management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional IT teams.
